  • An excellent place to get the tools for the trade.

Building a bank roll – check
    Discipline – check
    Understanding – check
    Tracking results – check

If you’re serious about gambling, this is the place to be.

I’m quite excited about what will follow.

    • Hi Ian!
This is the best course you can have wherever he is all made sense and filled with logic. Eagerly expecting it, after having insight in everything written on the website FTS. I am glad I am a member of the elite club and now I can reread what is written here. Some might say, turbot is simply to great things are seemingly simple but tryabvaumen person to find them. What you create, requires time and effort, just admire you!
Rarely met people like you are deprived of selfishness, ready to share experience, thought, practice, you’re a big man!
      Sincerely wish you good health!
Thanks for everything done to you Jan!
      Bobi
P.S. Sorry for my English but translated from Bulgarian withGoogle.

    • Happy New Year Ian and Sharon.

Thank you so much for all the assistance you have provided over the 12 months of my FTS membership and especially for knowledge and betting wisdom being provided through the Newsletter.

I am really looking forward to betting in 2011. Gone is the over-large portfolio of systems, tipsters and methods, all replaced by a slimline package of three and that includes JG as of today. Not only has my profit increased but I also have more free time. Thank you Ian.

    • Having read the the manuals quickly , it is obvious that the information within is going to be a firm set of setting stones and lead me on the correct path. I am also pleased that some of the things I have already been implementing and it gives me confidence to hear these confirmed in the newsletters. I particularly like the information on ‘compiling your own odds’ for football matches… something i did not understand or had even thought about. Excellent reading!!!

  • This is the best money I have ever spent to improve my gambling. Not an ebook promising riches, but a training programme to develop discipline and knowledge of how to make gambling pay. Ian offers to change the way you think and bet and he delivers on that with ease.

I am already making more money than ever from my gambling and we’re only three weeks in. I daren’t even think about what the impact might be in a few month’s time. Exciting times ahead!

  • I think that the example in issue no.3 re.backing Chelsea at home does very much bring home the point of value odds.
I very much look forward to next weeks issue.

  • Ian, this course is the best £25.00 I have ever spent. It will repay itself many many times over. None of this is rocket science but you are pointing out all the things we should be doing to make a profit in gambling and more importantly telling us the things we shouldn’t be doing.

As well as good advice like not backing the real shorties because of poor value you are teaching discipline and organisation without which you cannot win.

I think when the course is over you should consider putting the whole thing together as an e-book and selling to the wide world out there. It may turn many thousands of people into disciplined profitable punters instead of long term losers.

Looking forward to the rest of the course.

  • For anyone needing to review their gambling methodology or anyone new to it and wanting a place to learn to do it right, come in you will not find a better place to learn and improve.

I am already becoming more aware of what to get involved in and what to avoid; ttiden above has it right with his check-list and this also breeds confidence the program breeds success. It is already starting to happen, more wins and fewer losses.

If you don’t get disciplined and do it properly then you end up following the herd and you’ll only get what the herd gets!

The future looks brighter and the future is with Ian!

    Success to you all

  • Just started to work on Newsletter 3, everything learnt so far has changed my view on gambling (you must do all of the exercises in all newsletters in the order sent to get the best benefits). I am now starting to fully appreciate the need to be disciplined, not to jump from one system to another. I have always paper traded all systems but have always then run as many systems as possible to ‘get rich quick’, this service has changed my betting mentality to work with a couple of systems and once comfortable with the paper trading work with my own bank. The first thing I did was un-subscribe from all systems apart from two systems and it has focussed me brilliantly.
Keep up the good work Ian can’t wait to get the best betting advice ever as we move forward (and for only £25.00 should be £2500).
    All the best, Gary

  • Truly the best £25 I’ve ever spent and I’m only on the third newsletter. The key is I’m learning to focus – on getting the basics right ; keeping disciplined, papertrading, not gambling for the sake of it, learning to understand odds and value, and not chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow,

I used to be a mug punter and if you ask my mrs she’d tell you I’d bet on anything if it goes on four legs or kicks a ball – now I know its ok to not have a bet because I know that I’m going to win long term.

As for the detractors out there – ignore them – because Ian is delivering real education on his sites.

The elite are the elite, because the elite do the basics better

    Cheers
    Scotty

  • Excellent edition of the Newsletter in particular the section on going with the flow. As we saw in yesterdays fixture between Chelsea/Everton – for me this was an omen – a side which appears to be lacking in confidence and so called underdogs who regularly make a fight of it. However, I layed Chelsea rather than backing Everton. Would be interested to see what Ian’s thoughts would be re: this approach?

As for the Newsletter in general there is nothing better in highlighting the importance of organisation and discipline to one’s approach. Specialising in a particular market and keeping detailed records aided by thorough research WILL bear fruition long term.

I would urge all who have not yet subscribed to do so. It will be the best punt you will make.

    Regards,

    Stef

  • Hi Ian,Thanks for a great course, any one not involved is missing out big time. For the first time in 20 years i AM Making money, just by following your advise.cut back on trying too many systems at once, focus, disipline and 3% turn over, just great. My only downside is being +10 hrs GMT,so some late nights, but ,hey well worth it,looking forward to the rest of the course, thanks again Ian,Regards Ray

    • Hi there Ray. Do you live in Australia? I live in Perth.

If you do maybe you can help. Just wondering if you know how we can trade online during live games. I have been told that it will be a while before the law will be changed.

Any advice would be appreciated mate.

      Thanks

      Combo (Geoff)

  • The insights in the first 3 newsletters are quite amazing really.

I have heard about the need to bet in a contrary way to the public cos the public are mugs. Now I am beginning to understand this after reading the guest comments and their stories.

The other things that really come through are the need for hard work. and the importance of betting value. The Chelsea example is brilliant and really impacted on me.

The fact that there is a week’s break between newsletters gives you the opportunity to think about the information and learn from it.

Ian, you are a legend. Cheers

    Geoff

  • You’ll be kicking yourself when you subscribe and start reading these newsletters! Ian explains in a clear and concise manner where gamblers go wrong and the whole purpose of this site is to educate and discipline you. I wish I saw this 6 months ago, it really would have saved my bacon. There are exercises and useful write-ups by pro gamblers and you learn that they all started losing at first and then turned it around. If you have the desire to become a winner, this is the place to be. If you really want to become a pro gambler and make it work, the gambling academy is very unique. Ian doesn’t have to do this, he is successful enough as it is, so the guidance and information found here is priceless. Oh, just to add that I made back what I spent on this newsletter in less the an hour. Scammers, your days are numbered..! Erk.

  • Hi Ian,
Just wanted to let you know that I too have learnt alot more since becoming an elite member
    and joining this gambling academy.
These newsletters are proving to be priceless.
Looking forward to the next one.

    Thanks for the exercises too.

  • Why Ian does this I do not know…………….it sure isnt for the money so that tells you something ……..but if you are serious, prepared to work and really want to be a proffessional gambler or trader then be damn glad he does !.

  • To some people, this course will not tell them what they want to hear. These people, however, should not be considering gambling as a method of making money.

Ian preaches hard work and a profesional approach to gambling in order to make it work in the long term. Everything from the guest blogs to the case studies, and especialy the excersises, gear you up to develop this profesional, business like, and disciplined approach. If you aint willing to listen and take the time to put his advice in to practice then don’t bother. If you are prepared to put in the time, then I doubt you will get better advice when it comes to making a decent living out of gambling.

  • Hi Ian, everyone,
I have been trading on betfair for roughly the last four years, since the last world cup to be exact.
I started with £100 to trade and amazingly by the time the quarter finals had finished I had £1500. To me that was outstanding and I couldn’t wait for the football season to start to continue building my bank. Around that time I came across horse race laying and after paper trading (honest) various systems, I found that I was no worse at selecting losers than the systems themselves. However, I was about to make the biggest mistake I have ever made, bar one which is too personal to talk about here. I set myself too high a target profit and to cut a long story short began to lose more than I won, and to make matters worse my working life made my trading erratic; I’d win then be at work for 4 days then home for 4 and lose then win then lose and so on chasing losses and then in panic trying different methods and topping up my account from my credit card. Bad enough that I could afford to do this but before long my statement had hit £7500 +…… PANIC ….not to worry I could get it back…..WRONG. Then I made my second biggest mistake, see above, had a major Depression, saw a physchiatrist for 6 months, ultimately lost my well paid job. DISASTER.
Now all I have are debts, stress, poorly paid seasonal work more debts and the threat of repossession. But…. and here’s the thing, that having followed Ian’s work closely for the past two years and dabbled with the odd £50 here and there, slightly profitably, and now digesting his newsletters, I operate with a lot more confidence in myself and have realistic targets in mind. If I lose I minimise that loss as much as possible rather than allowing the bet to run on the offchance that it will come right. In short I accept a loss when it faces me and move on. Before, I think I felt I was invincible because I had had such a good run of what was basically luck. Luck is too random a thing to bet, gamble, trade or whatever you want to call it, successfully. Research and record and temper enthusiasm with what if…….I lose the lot……..no one has a bottomless bank account Slow and steady, small steps at a time, no racing to that fabled pot of gold, you have to forge your own over time.
By this time next year I expect to be able to say that my mortgage is paid, (repossession not withstanding which, although no joke could be a blessing in disguise if the worst happens), my debts are gone and I no longer need to work, conventionally that is. This will be done by growing my bank at the double every month or 3% per day…..started with £50 on Nov 6th and now have £234 so not too bad a start and plenty of room for non starting days..like today.
I look forward with more hope than for a long time which is due in a large part to my change in philosophy brought about by Ian’s words and I for one await yet more wisdom and insight from his newsletters to help me continue to move forward.

  • I am the kind of person who does not comment on forums, I tend to just get on with something and do not feel the need to rant about it, so this post coming from me is a first!

I was gambling since I was 18 until I was 30 and back then I was a bookmakers and get rich quick system makers dream come true! I am now 32, and for the past 2 years I have been introduced to trading by Ian’s selections, his rants and his comments, all of which has helped me to boost my bank, my mentality and put me on the correct path to trading success. Ian does not cut any corners, he says exactly how he feels!

So far I have printed each newsletter and implemented what is recommended, I have been in this trade for a total of 17 years and I have to say the newsletters are a fantastic, if you are serious about making money in this business then be serious, be part of this!

  • Fantastically put together newsletter – great approach, thorough, excellent case studies and real life examples. I feel like I am learning every week and develping a rounded skillset that is required to make a succes of this game. You will ultimately get out of this newsletter what you put in and I’m in.

Thanks again Ian and look forward to #4 tomorrow!

  • Hi Ian

Just letting you know I was one of the 37%, but only because my computer has been down!!!!! Thanks for your efforts, As you know i turned $500 into over $10,000 using your FTS over two seasons and i really learnt alot about the mentality of gambling. When that suspended screen goes off just as you are about to take a loss, NO BIGGER RUSH, but when it comes up as you are about to lock in your profit the anger can really build up. Your teachings, even before this great newsletter, got me through all that, so onwards and upward from here.
Merry xmas to you, your family and all subscribers. Good Luck and Good trading.

Brad. Sydney, Australia. (you can have those damn ashes, we give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

    • Hi Brad. Great comments. I live in Perth by the way.

IMaybe you can help. Just wondering if you know how we can trade online during live games. I have been told that it will be a while before the law will be changed.

Any advice would be appreciated mate.

      Thanks

  • This newsletter is worth every penny. My friends live for the weekend in terms of letting their hair down after a week of hard work. For me the hard work continues and I genuinely look forward to it. With this great advice I feel I have turned a corner and can barely contain my excitement for the future. After 3 years of consistent betting I am still almost even and now with proper exit strategies and a good advice I am turning more and more trades into decent profit.

    Thanks for everything.

  • To all;

Emotion, human’s greatest strength and also our biggest weakness. A plea to all, when trading we must turn this emotion off.

I am the culprit of Newsletter 4, looking back I regret going on “Tilt”. Emotion got the better of me, I was listening to the commentary of the Man Utd/Valencia game it seemed fairly open (I made that decision within 30 seconds – ludicrous decision) and then layed the draw. looking back I done this as a knock on effect from the Twente vs Spurs game – being annoyed at myself for not coming out of the game when I had planned to, so in a moment of insanity I went in another game.

The major majority of people who are successful in life have to spend many years building themsleves up, continuoully doing the right thing.
The fundamental building block of being successful in life is nothing to do with “luck” “talent”, in my opinion it is simply down to decision-making.
When we become emotionally involved in something it’s a fact it does effect our decision making. – we make bad ones

Through the guidance of Ian – we all have the opportunity to change our lives around within 6 – 24 months.
I will leave us all with one question – If this was our full time job and we were given trading guidlines to stick to, being honest with yourself how many of us would have been sacked? and how many would continue to be being sacked?

There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.

Ian thank you for you continued guidance, so come on people lets listen and follow the man’s advice.

  • I have been an Elite member for a long time and intend to continue, for as long as Ian kindly gives us all, the opportunity to share his wisdom.
I am semi retired, it is strange i tend not to tell people that i gamble as it creates an atmosphere… like iv’e told them someone has died and they feel pity for me lol, cant be bothered now to explain to them that i make money and they wouldnt believe me if i did.
I have been Gambling and spreadbetting the FX markets for many years, I have lost consistantly in the past, here is a quick sobering story, a very good friend of mine was a renowned trader, he spreadbet the indices with large amounts (he borrowed £50,000 off his Father(pension, not recommended, to do this) he was shorting, with the looming Iraq war he couldnt lose, he thought he was invincible as all his trades made huge profits, the one good thing he did was to pay his Father back the money he had loaned, he then went on to win £280,000, just before the end of the gulf war there was a relief rally across the board and my friend lost the lot, he refused to admit he was wrong and take a smaller profit ultimate greed kicked in, he lost more and more until the margin calls stopped his trading, he was taken out of his positions by the brokers traders, since then he still trades but makes(loses) just a few pounds here and there refusing to admit his shortcomings he is so very stubborn.
I decided after getting a get rich quick scheme, to lay horses, the tips were given by a self proclaimed expert taking £100 a month, a lot of losses later decided to giveup, since then I admit lurching from one system to another and learnt the hard way what Ian is trying to teach, huge admiration and thanks to Ian as I now, from the time i joined I can honestly say that I take a regular, albiet small at the moment, income from my gambing activities all due to the sound advice given.
I always keep up to date spreadsheets on all the systems I have, it is extremely important to track the progress of your gambling, bank management and risk management, I even keep any drawings from my bank and deposits, including all of Ian’s FTS systems I have a very good list now, not all in profit but all are capable of long term profits .
    Long may you continue Ian.
I wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and a profitable and above all, a healthy New Year.

  • Issue 4 is another great read Ian, done exercise 2 on the under 2.5 goals market (my choice for paper trading) i find that after 50 bets for me to get the 3% winnings (of £12.80 after comm) at my back odds then required lay odds, i have to bet approx 25% of my bank per bet. my bank after 50 bets imo is £438.40
I think that it would depend on which games i pick for any bets to be matched for instance

Man U v Arsenal would have a good chance of getting matched but an Italian 2nd div match the liquidity may not be there

anyway Ian keep the NEWSLETTERS coming.

    John

  • Great reading yet again, thankfully this newsletter is further endorsement to the decision I took at the beginning of this Football season. Strangely this came about because my retirement is due in May 2012, I thought about what little I’d have to live on via the company pension and wanted to avoid working until I was 90.

I created a 2 season Bank building plan using FTS and Ian’s advice, I have a set of flexible milestone goals to achieve along the way. ( I say flexible, because I’ll never take risks to achieve them)

I am very happy the way things are going, I ‘ve more than doubled my bank since middle September, I take losses in my stride and see my bank grow along with my stakes. I can see that all this works. Great job Ian.

  • I cant believe that 37% of people who subscribed have yet to read issue 3. That just tells me that they were not serious about wanting to learn and will always be losers. This has certainly made me stop and think about where I was going and what I want to achieve. Keep up the good work Ian, This is by far the best information on gambling I have ever come across. And at the price you charged it is a giveaway. Thanks.

    Steve

  • Hi Ian,
Have just been reading through issue 4 of the newsletter, at the same time the recommended
fts trade was playing (G Furth) The 2.0 came around 71 mins and i had to get out of the
trade as it was 0-0. I continued reading the rest of the newsletter and have just realized
that i had no emotion at all when closing the trade for a loss. In the past it always played on my
mind and sometimes tried to chase the loss. All i can say is that hopefully,at last the “mindset”
you have kept banging on about for the last 3 years has finally sunk in. Thanks Ian for all the effort you are showing us.

    Wayne

  • These newsletters are a great way of making you look at yourself, what motivates your gambling, what your goals and ambitions are and most importantly your mindset. And that last point is key. Emotions and trading do not mix, positive or negative. You have to be detached in order to remain calm and objective or otherwise you will do crazy things.

Ian through this publication is the first person I have ever read in relation to trading/gambling who not only recognizes this human failing but has the honesty to write about it. I can honestly say how refreshing it is to hear as opposed all those ‘get quick merchants’ whose sole purpose is to seduce people and appeal to their greedy natures.

Ian’s is the only product, service, I have ever tried and I highly recommend it. If you have spent years wasting money on get rich quick schemes and are serious about a long term profit look no further.

    Seasons greetings to you all

  • It’s said the simple ideas are usually the best and the idea of 2-3% a day must be the simplest idea ever – but the hardest of things to do for some, as it needs cast-iron discipline to collect your cash, close down your computer and go off an do something enjoyable with your time.
But if you can do that just once a day, and not get greedy by trying to repeat it again and again, you will, get there and the rewards will be very worthwhile.
Ian’s newsletter may not be the most sophisticated, ‘glossy’ publication ever but it doesn’t need to be. But it’s clear, no-nonsense stuff. You could say it’s deceptively simple and that’s what makes it so good.

I too have a simple saying and it’s served me well and it is this: a dripping tap will eventually fill the bath.

  • I haven’t got to Issue 4 yet and intend to download it after I’ve made this comment.

For me, these issues are excellent as they’re detailing the tactics, mind-sets, and practices needed to turn a nice hobby into a potential life changing income stream.

I’m in for the long haul so bring it on, Ian!

    Ken

  • “QUALITY”

  • The content within the newsletters up until now has been excellent. I can relate to an awful lot of the examples you have highlighted and am just pleased that I now have such a useful resource to allow me to improve and achieve my goals.

I cannot stress enough how beneficial this has been for me personally and would highly recommend it for anyone wishing to take their gambling more seriously.

  • The newsletters are all Ian said they would be and more! They really instil more and more confidence with every issue and cut straight to the point in helping you understand the mindset and underlying logic and discipline of being a successful gambler. And to think we are now only one-third of the way throught the course (4 of 12 issues), it really is good to know that over the next two months I will hopefully become even more improved in my gambling. To me also, it it the best £25 I’ve ever spent and I look forward to the next 8 issues! Good man Ian, thanks to you and all contributors for sharing your knowledge for such a small price! I cannot recommend this course enough.

  • Hi Ian,
Many thanks for the excellent newsletters. I personally can relate to quite a lot of it. I am learning, and fully intend to practice what you, and other contributors preach !!. Thanks again.
    John

  • Hi Ian,

I read the last newsletter in which JG made a contribution. That was some days ago and been thinking since. I could take his advice and say ‘What are you doing?’, am I achieving what I set out, a second income, the answer is no, therefore I should walk away from the gambling, now. But that is not what JG meant. JG means It’s about changing your habits and achieving your aims and objectives. Now I could say I have been a clever little boy and have grown my Bank $£$£…. and now have a wallet of money and I’m on my way. But I haven’t, oh yes I’m trying, but it’s not going in the smooth straight line for me. Sometimes it’s good, I make my wee 3% and I feel good, then it’s back to lossing it and I’m anoid with myself, but I am still trying – it’s not been easy undoing very old habits – lossing. I know I will struggle, but I have my goals written down and keep looking at them. They are in my pocket and look at it for inspiration – that’s the easy bit, doing it, is hurting. I just wonder if anyone else is going through the same torment or is everyone doing along just nicely?

Now back to the System 3 and FTS bets and watch the 3% come in.

    Thanks Ian.

    Francis

    • Hi John,

Just to re assure you all traders go through the Torment!
Stick with it and it eventually leaves you.
      Good luck.

      Peter

  • Hi all, today i let a bet become a trade which as we know you should never do.The horse in question osirixamix was running in the 2.20 at cork, reason for the bet was watched the horse previous run and an interview conducted on ATR with the jockey R.M.Power who stated he would be using different tactics riding the horse. My opinion was this to be beneficial to the horses chance of winning the race, monitored the odds movements on betfair drifted out from 9.8 to at the off 16.00.Yes i took the 9.8 “wally” anyway cut a long story short 2 out the horse is in the lead and i let my emotions get the better of me and hit the chicken switch which in trading terms is the hedge button. So instead of a healthy £180 i ended up with £28.92 on every runner, gutted is an under statement. The reason for the email was just to say keep them emotions in check guy’s as it will end up costing you as it did me,there is no holy grail to this just hard graft and DISCIPLINE which i am still grasping.

  • Hi Ian

This is probably not the way to get hold of you but i have sent several mails with no reply which i think is a bit strange since you have replied before ?
One of the mails was regarding the info as we discussed and the other relating to understanding how to make a book.
I would also like you to inform your members to make absolutley sure that there passwords on berfair are to the higest standard since i have had my account hacked into and emptied. Four fiqure some with no redress to betfair.
    Thanks
    Alan

    • Alan got problems with Tiscali mail I have just mailed you from here

  • Hi Ian,

Many thanks firstly letting me join the elite group earlier in the year. If you not in this and you are lucky enough to join then stop everything and join. Ians picks are excellant but more importantly its the guidance in how to trade the picks. I know there has being highs and lows but if you do what the manuals say then you are onto a winner and its a big winner. Anyway enough about elite, this is about the news letter. The news letter is simply simple. Its easy to read and understand, it is not rocket science but plain common sense that unfortunately common sense in betting is not common at all. When I say common sense its common sense that we all should have but over look or are not aware where to look. If you want to be a pro then you are in the right place. The news letter will let you see what seprates the pro from the average Joe on the street betting. One thing you need to take on board is that you will have to put in effort, time, sweat and tears but at the end you get so much more out of it. Ian is legend and pure gentleman. If you still reading this post then stop and just buy the newsletter.
Thanks Ian for your time and sharing your knowledge.

  • Excellent newsletters so far Ian. Looking forward to reading the rest.

Merry Christmas to you and yours

  • First off all, sorry for my badly written english….

Just want to share my owe “Gambling story” with you all.

I started follow Ian 3 years ago with hes FTS system, last year I joined the Mentor Group and really learned a lot from it, special about gambling of the mental mind.

I started out 3 yrs ago with 50£, after 6 mths my 50£ was grown to £2000, then I got an email from Daniel Soulsby ( idiot by the way) about an Dog Race system, that i just needed to try….. (how stupid could Ibe…….) after been paper trading the system 5 days I felt that this was fool proof, and started to bet with real money, 8 loosing dogs in a row and my £2000 bank was down to £3500, yes you did read it right…. -3500 I was stupid enough to withdraw another 1500 from my credit card and offcause I lost them as well….

    I simply did chasing losses….

I have been learning a lot of this, and after my 6 mths period last year with the Mentor Group, I today have 100 % record of all my trades, stick to Ian’s FTS trades 110 % and use the 3% system daily ( and remember that 3 % a day wil double your bank in 24 days) and have some set goals for the future, that fit into my plans and time each day.

Thanks Ian for this newsletter and thanks for always being so helpfull

    Regards from cold Copenhagen

    Lasse

p.s By the way maybe FCK and Spurs will draw eachother for the Champions League 1/8 final??? :-)

  • Hi Ian

ive never had a problem in protecting my bankroll however ive never been able to build it up,before following your newsletter i never understood the importance of value odds,i have only ever bet on football and nothing else so as you know the odds are never really that much in your favour, since learning about value odds i no longer take the sp before kick off, what i do now is always check if the game is going to be inplay then wait until the price moves out in my favour, ive made a rule that if the odds dont reach at least 2.10 then i simply dont place a bet, since sticking to this rule ive managed to build my bankroll by 82%,sticking to this rule and sticking to only ever useing 5% of my bankroll has helped my out big time,
I would just like to say thankyou to you and anyone else who is involved in the set up of the newsletter, THANKYOU
Looking forward to the next issues of the newsletters
    Regards Steve

  • It’s getting better and better every week. Still learn more and more.
    Thanks a lot Ian

  • This is really good stuff. All of it. I’ve recommended one person to this site and newsletter and he loves it too. If you are even doubting enrolling on this course….DON’T……sign up straight away. You won’t regret it.
    Regards

  • I just have to make another comment, a few newsletters later.

Having been involved with corporation management earlier, I am quite impressed to see the business like approach to gambling.
And of course it makes sense.

Gambling was, for me, before, something where you put a couple of quid on and won some and lost some more. Although I still make mistakes, these 5 newsletters has really changed the way I gamble.
With a lot more confidence and knowledge I win a lot more than I lose nowadays.
In fact, not to exaggerate, my whole attitude toward both life, work and gambling has changed.

There is no doubt in my mind that by december 2011 I’ll join the ranks of those who gamble for a living.

And in many ways it is thanks to Ian and this newsletter.

    Cheers!

  • I have been meaning to leave this feedback since issue one so apologies for taking this long to get my arse in gear.
I have been gambling for about ten years and have bought more systems than I care to admit. I have made several major changes to my thinking and actions since reading the newsletter. At first I didn’t write down my goals because I already had them clear in my head. Then I decided to write them down but have not laminated them as suggested.
    The major changes are:
    1. I am not buying any more systems. Any emails from system vendors get binned without reading them. Any snail mail ditto.
    2. I am paper trading the 3% technique as many evenings as I can as per the exercise. I am very impressed and getting more and more confident with it. I had a loss the other day but this has not dented my confidence at all. With Ian’s guidance and my own efforts I have proved to myself that it works.
    3. I am trying to make more time available to play as many FTSs, System 3 and 15 Minute games as I can.

I work during the day which means I get up reasonably early and I work flat out all day. So my treat on Saturday mornings is to have a lay in, but not to sleep – OK I wake up a little later but not much later. I take my printed newsletter to bed on Friday night and read it in bed in the morning.
Ian this is a cracking read. Much of it is common sense and stuff I already knew but it just makes my thinking clearer as I recognise myself in many of your observations.
I will subscribe to this newsletter until you stop producing it.

  • Hi Ian

I have used FTS for 2 years+ and I was excited to become an Elite member earlier this year, I am not an e-mailer, blog or forum poster by nature so for me to reach for the keyboard means I have been moved by something really special.
These newsletters are fantastic because they are real, so real that I wonder if a couple of times you have been looking over my shoulder ! like a lot of people I want gambling/trading to be my main income source. The newsletters are packed with information and show the reality of the work and mental attitude required to achieve that goal, I feel very lucky that I have access to the newsletters and the wealth of experience and knowledge that you are generously passing on, and that is the main reason I have been moved to write after 2 years, and that is to say “Thank you Ian ”
    Stuart Rains

  • I would like to echo many of the comments that you have received, well worth the money, & especially Stu’s above.

I have dipped in and out of FTS/15 min for over 3 yrs, and whilst not made a profit have not made a loss, but by tracking the results I can see by applying the discipline and skills you lay out in the newsletter, I can see why you are so successful, especially as I have now become a recent Elite member. I believe I can take my little pastime onto a a different level & a proper money making venture.

You often use golfing analogies to get your point across as the skills and mindset are often the same. Using one myself, I would say that any idiot can buy a set of golf clubs and thrash around a golf course, but having your newsletters is like taking a course of lessons from a golfing professional. Depending upon your level he might have to re-build your whole game or it might just need a bit of tweaking here and there. Only by practicing those skills are you going to get better. It is up to the individual if he takes the advice or not and improves his game

  • Didn’ t have a great day betting the NFL yesterday. Felt pretty down about it so I read each edition of the newsletter again and feel more focused and upbeat. A bad day is not going to get to me like it used to. I am in this for the long haul. Without the newsletters I would have struggled and probably made some bad betting decisions.

    Thanks again Ian

  • If you are reading these testimonials, wondering whether or not to subscribe to Ian’s Newsletter, I think the right answer for you depends on whether you are serious about becoming a professional gambler / trader. If you are, then I would advise you to sign up, if not then it’s probably not for you.

I was trained to be a piano tuner. I would be dismayed if some of my clients decided to tune their own pianos. Apart from losing their custom, I know they would make a right hash of it, and yet I thought nothing of becoming a sports trader after only having read a couple of ebooks.
I could write a book called “how to tune your own piano” but I can guarantee that after reading that book, not one of you reading this, could go out and tune a piano. And there was no way I could be a sports trader after reading “how to make thousands of pounds on Betfair” (fictitious title). Those types of books don’t prepare you for what is to come. Don’t get me wrong, I could join an Exchange select a bet and place a Lay or a back bet, and even know vaguely how it’s all suppose to work, but that is not enough, you need someone to take you by the hand and walk you through the basics and tell you how it is and not just tell you what you want to hear. Ian’s unique style forces you to confront what you might prefer to ignore, and forces you to think logically and methodically about what you are about to embark on.

Last week I fancied a bet on a Spanish football team and caught myself thinking “There’s no way I’m touching that one at those prices” and I realised that Ian’s teachings had just prevented me from doing something which I now know to be very stupid, but would have happily gone along with in my un-tutored sate of a few weeks back. It’s a little hard to explain what is so special about this course, I’ll try and explain like this; Sometimes when you have read something in a book, it can pass you by, not register in your consciousness, but if you have sat with your mate, and he’s explained something to you, it seems to lodge more firmly in your mind. Reading Ian’s newsletters is like being told something by a trusted friend.

If I could take you under my wing for long enough I could teach those of you with the aptitude for it, to tune a piano. In the same way I sincerely believe that Ian can teach those of us with the willingness to trust him and follow his advice to become professional gamblers.

Thanks Ian, I’m learning slowly but surely.

    Alun Evans

  • Anyone interested in making sports betting pay should seriously subscribe to Ian’s newsletter. He and his guest writers have laid down in easy, understandable language the basis of how to plan, execute and cope with all that betting and trading will throw at you.

Only 2 to 3% of people make money at this game. If you want to be a winner, find out what the winners are doing and do what they do !

I am seriously looking forward to all the upcoming newsletters and want to thank Ian in sharing his knowledge and experience with everyone.

    Thanks

  • I have been trading FTS since the beginning of this year and it’s been a rollercoaster ride !
My Bank has doubled and then back to square one a couple of times. However this month I have settled down thanks to the newsletters and about to double once more before the year is out. :-)

This course is very cool especially the 3% system. I have religiously followed it with a separate £100 bank for real, sorry Ian, to good to Paper trade this one! Just shy of doubling this bank in 18 trades.

Seasons Greeting to All, and steady as she goes in the New Year

    Zig

    • While FTS trading kept an eye on the major European league games on Futbol24. Those which were drawing at 60 mins, were checked to see if they could still be backed at 2.0 then a lay at 1.8. My average trading time was just over 8 mins :-) Best of luck !

  • Unozig, well done! The newsletters really spell out the difference between plain gambling and trading and the mindset required. Regarding the 3% system, what markets are you using it on?

    Bernie

  • HI Ian
Enjoying the course, this will get me back on track, it give’s you a goal to aim for and not just gambling for the sake of it. it’s focused and nice to get some sort of direction to go in.
Keep up the good work and look forward to a good year ahead and positive results.
    Best course out there.
    Kind Regards
    Paul Roach

  • Ian

I have just gone through the latest newsletter, and before I had read it I was still a bit unsure of what I was doing.
This latest newsletter just seems to have brought everything together, im not sure why but it has. I will now go through again all the previous letters to cement some of my thoughts and ideas.

To be successful at trading I now know its not just about following you blindly, its about understaning how everything works, from emotion, book-making so on and so on.
What we can do is learn from your ways and mindset.

We are all here bet on football so let me use that as an example.

‘I could go train and play football everyday, but it doesn’t make me a professional footballer, to be a professional footballer I have to adhere to a structure, learn and do things the right way and then I will get my rewards, if not I will get found out’

For those of us who are starting with a small bank-roll is the equivilant of starting in the Conference. You wouldn’t expect to jump straight to international football within a week, but by learning and continuing to do things the correct way, you/ we will soon be moving up levels or in our case staking amounts.

I only know Ian through E mail, but I know he didn’t wake up on one monday start trading and by the end of the month was living the life of riley, so why would any of us expect anything different to happen to us.

I realise now “The only thing I can change is my way of thinking, but that will make all the difference”.

PS. I’m looking forward to exposing all the betting scamming bastards out there, Im going to make there 2011 a Nightmare.

Merry xmas and happy new year to all newsletter subscribers.

    Good luck to all

  • Hi Ian,
Just read the latest newsletter and found the “odds and sods” article on odds compiling very interesting — all coming together nicely — keep up the good work

  • Ian another excellent Newsletter. I am glad you brought the Sports Betting Professor into the equation. I have completely stopped receiving his ‘tips’ ( I hit the unsuscribe button ) for various reasons but the two main ones are a) he keeps on pushing out yet another marketing opportunity ( which obviously means reaching for your credit card and b) his bets are never value for money. In fact I am surprised that JG includes bets on American Football in his portfolio when they are all on the 10/11 mark. This does not seem to be in the’ value bet’ range.
Looking forward to the next issue – it’s a shame that they will eventually stop !!

  • Ian’s newsletter is a very practical, pragmatic and passionate guide to the various important aspects of gambling – odds, staking, bank building etc. I’ve read each issue at least twice and plan to go over all of them again shortly. Each issue is a new discovery, the “aha” moments come one after another. Like every really good book the knowledge can be applied not only to the concrete subject (gambling) – the biggest finding for me was to realize that the long term view and “little but often” rule, once adopted, make not only my gambling better but also my life more comlete.

Thank you Ian – you become better with each issue! If I use an FTS analogy – the result after 6 issues is 6:0 and I won’t trade out – I’m in for the duration!

  • Fantastic Advice as always Ian – I Consider myself to be ‘Semi-Pro’ but still have plenty to learn from the Advice that you give – Invaluable in my opinion!!

  • Think everything has been said, keep up the good work and look forward to the next issue.

  • Ian – issue 6 was another great read. I think you could have dropped my name in every example you have given of what not to do in every issue so far. It’s all starting to come together slowly for me and I have noticed myself asking JGs question (from Issue 4) of ‘WTF are you doing’ a lot before and during games. Every time I have done this in-play it has either saved or made me money.

    Keep up the good work.

  • Hi all,

I’m a newbie from Malaysia and have just subscribed to the Newsletter and FTS course.

I do not have an account with Betfair yet and without an account I can’t trade using FTS.
Is there any member here is from Malaysia? I need to understand regarding the transaction of money from Betfair to my local bank and the charges incurred.

Please contact me at : gocharliegogogo@gmail.com

    Thank you.

    Best regards,
    charlie

  • Hi Ian,

I think your doing a great job by putting yourself throught the hassle of all the work your doing to help others yet you will always find ungrateful people which im thankfully not one of them.I find the newsletters to be off great help and while i haven’t followed them to the letter(old habits) i have took the main points on board and am finally making progress with my betting.I used to look for to many bets each day and i now know that will never work so i’ve stopped that and im refferring back to the letters when i need to.Anyone serious about been a winning gambler should really purchase this.Anyway all the best for the new year and keep up the good work.

    Brian L

  • Lessons learnt week after week.

This weeks exercise- compile your expert bets on (My choice) “Premiership” Football and then pick the Value bets – Paper Trade at £100 a go.

Net result – My expert bids over 20 games = -£627 – My Value bets (Just 2 successful) +£280!!!

Ian keep the lessons coming – Bookies, thieving gits – I believe!!

  • Hi Ian

Firstly i would like to wish You, your family and all the members of the News Letter
    a very Happy New Year.
The News Letter is so far beyond what i was expecting and would just like to thank you for the amount of time you must be spending on it.
Each and every week i have learnt so much.

    Happy New Year

    Wayne & Julie

  • enjoying the newsletters , have paper traded since 4th december at £100 stakes in football with what i think are value bets , best winning day+ £347 , worst losing day- £325 , overall for the month was + £1259.00 profit , i found was best not to sit in front of laptop watching the scores as sometimes quite stressfull when not going to plan or late goals , also tried setting a target of 3% everyday , strangely as the the amount needed grew i found more stressful as risk higher istarted with £100 bank and grew 3% a day to start , but as month progressed , i chose not to gamble on 7 of 31 days as i believed there no good bets to be had ,as was doing football under 2.5 goals , at the end of the month starting at £100 and 3% a day should have been £192.10 at end of month , but with missing 7 days ended up with £154.50 , so still £54.50 profit , so if real money would have been great , my discapline is still poor as for some reason still do bets without proper research and just place the bet because i think it seems a good bet and usaully end up losing my money , but am getting better , i just need to get my confidence up so i can increase my stakes , i know this will come with time as will the feeling of anger/frustration when i lose , as i know losing is all part of the business , so i think i am progressing , but like all of us i suspect , would like it to happen faster but also realise you have to learn to walk before you can run !! thank you Ian and a happyand prosperous new yer to all
    Roger

  • Instead of trying to find bets while there is no continental footy ’til after the new year and the weather causing disruption to the fixture lists, I have read and re-read all of the newsletters several times, done all the excercises and significantly improved my betting skills. Quite simply – THE BEST 25 QUID I HAVE EVER SPENT!!

  • Hi Ian,

First – Happy new year to everyone!
Second – Well done on the newsletter – I’ve had a total attitude makeover in the last month or so. Now got records – Mrs T is getting worried about my sanity and thinks I’ve turned into John Nash becasue I’ve been making graphs of price movements on excel – I’ve doubled my bank and I’ve been systematically deleting junk mail from system peddlers. Even tried explaining the concept of a value bet to the lads at work – a lost cause i’m afraid (I think they need this course more than I did cause they are all trying to win a million on accumulators every week!)

    Best wishes again 2011
    Scotty

  • Hi Everyone

Firstly I would just like to say Happy New Year to Ian, Sharon and family, I hope 2011 is a good year.

Also to all FTS subsribers, Elite members and Newsletter subscribers all the the best for 2011, both personally and from a trading point of view.

    Kieran Doyle

  • Thanks Ian,
I am a “semi pro” and have made a great profit from my gamling INVESTMENTS.
However, I NEVER STOP LEARNING and agree with your wise words.
But the truth is I don’t wont you to educate ” the masses” as it leaves
fewer people for me to take the money off ! I therefore propose an increase
in the price of your news letter to £500.
Wishing you and all your readers a WEALTHY 2011.
    Cheers, John B G Buck.

  • Cheers Folks

I have taken on board most of what has been written in the Newsletters.

I have read most of them 3 times. I have found the content very useful in developing my Focus and eradicating emotions.

That being so this year had got me off to a great start in Horse racing.

    Horse Racing: £548.05 | Tote: | Total P&L: £548.05

Mostly due to my change in thinking a nd renewed discipline

    cheers Richard

  • Another newsletter packed with very useful information. This is certainly the best info you will find and if you dont act on it then you may as well give up now. With the lack of comments on the testimonial page it makes me wonder how many of you are actually bothering to act on what Ian is writing. Remember, this is for US to learn from a pro. Keep it coming Ian.

  • Once again a newsletter bursting with detaild, invaluable info. Adopting Ian’s ideas will bring us all that much nearer the dream…

  • Hi Ian

Just wanna say that the content in your newsletters so far is excellent. Previously a big target of yours was the system scammers and if everyone follows the guidance in the very first issue they shouldnt fall victim to such scammers again (as long as they discipline themselves!).

Not spending as much time on the scammers has enabled you to put together these newsletters and it has paid off as they are extremely beneficial to us.

I will be following your guidance to the letter.

    Thanks Ian

  • Being new to gambling, I have followed Ian for 2 years now and I believe he is completely on target with his thinking and strategies..I particularly like the exercises in the Newletter. I am betting with small stakes and building my bank..
This is the best investment I’ve ever made in the gambling sphere.
    Thanks Ian.
    Mary

  • Wishing a healthy and happy new year to all.

Really impressed with the newsletters, an interesting read even withstanding the fact that dedicated implementation of their principles could make you some serious gambling profits!

Definitely one to be filed under money well spent!

  • This course has changed my attitude to gambling. I used to be a 95% gambler and a 5% trader, but it is now the other way around and am looking at new things all the time, this year so far Snooker and Tennis look good markets to trade and will investigate others, just watch a few games and see how the odds move.

  • Hi Ian,

In the words of a famous cricket commentator, “Sensational stuff, Richie!”

Having been made redundant from banking in the city just over 3 years ago, I chose at 40 to skip the CV and interview world for a while and try to turn a 12 year gambling hobby into a mainstream income. During this time I have made every mistake going, wasted time and money on “tripe” and had those extremely indisciplined days where I wonder what on earth I am doing. I have lost money that I couldn’t afford to lose, and, even been too scared to even turn my laptop on some mornings, because of maniac decisions whilst chasing losses the night before.
Slowly but surely, by using most if not all,of your services and recommended contacts along the way, I am now specialising with football and horses alone and earning a steady income.I consider myself quite well seasoned now as a gambler but have found something of true value in every single one of the 8 newsletters to date. They are truly brilliant. No matter how well we think we are doing, it is clear we can always improve. You have helped hugely in teaching me to make a living, I now want to go a step further and earn a life.

    Many, many thanks IAN !

  • Wow,what an eye opener. Finding value using the method descibed in the news letter what a tool to have in an ever increasing armoury.Thank’s ian, keep it up.

  • what more can i say Ian, all the above covers it all, PURE CLASS my friend, keep it coming

  • THANKS TO YOU IAN, NOW I HAVE GOOD INCOMES EVERY WEEK, YOUR ACADEMY IS REALLY FANTASTIC RESOURCE FOR WHO TAKE GAMBLING AS A JOB FOR HIS FAMILY, NOT FOR PEOPLE THAT CONSIDER GAMBLING ONLY ENJOY OR ONE WAY FOR BECOME RICH SOON!!!!
IN YOURS NEWSLETTERS I HAVE FIND MANY THINGS THAT HAVE HELP ME TO CONSIDER MANY NEW THING BEFORE CLICK ON ONE BOTTOM ON KEYBORD FOR WRITE MONEY THAT I WANT PUT IN THE GAME!
FOR ME THIS SERVICE NOT HAVE PRICE, I PAID MORE THAN 1000K EVERY HOUR FOR HAVE FROM ONE POKER PRO SAME COACHING!!!
WITH ONLY 25£ I WON MORE THAN 100 OR 200K IN MY FUTURE, THANKS IAN, AND I HOPE OTHER PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND YOUR SERVICE SO YOU CAN CONTINUE TO SHARE ALL YOUR EXSPERIENCE WITH US THAT TRUST IN A GAMBLING LIFE!!!!!

  • Thanks Ian

This is simply the best resource available for people who want to make a living as a gambler. I hesitate to use the word gambler because we are mainly traders here now learning how to manipulate the markets, and the Gambling Academy has helped us all approach this business in a professional manner. It’s an amazing resource and, as someone who teaches at University, I feel this is more akin to studying an M.A. than anything else, you don’t get teaching like this for twenty five quid. This would cost nearer to £4000 in my line of work. It’s a credit to Ian that he offers this service, when he really doesn’t need to, he’s succesfull enough to stick two fingers up to the lot of us and continue to make his money in peace, but he feels a debt to those he sees as being victims of unscrupulous scams, and charlatans who sell crooked systems. He does this out of the simple kindness of his heart and through an old fashioned sense of community, and for that we should all be thankful. On a practical level, these newsletters constitute everything you need to know to make a success in this business. They are well written, methodical and meticulous, with numerous case studies and exercises, designed to build up your confidence and expertese. This is life changing stuff, and I for one am going to make sure I apply its lessons until I can make a living this way, and say goodbye to the daily grind.

  • On issue 10 now, the difference in my discipline and emotion has dramatically improved and finally I am starting to see a massive difference in my results! It is amazing with discipline and control of emotion how much more money seems to be rolling in yet I am making the same bets/trades as before! If you want to start making money from gambling/trading, then start reading these newsletters and implement what they say, if not for the newsletters I would still be losing money. Big thanks to Ian and co for the opportunity and education through these newsletters.

  • how many systems have people coming here bought for the usual “bargain” price of only £29 only to see you lose money and bin them after a week – you’re paying the same price (nearly) for something that lasts 3 months, can refer to time and time again and more importantly, teaches you things that can only make you a better trader.

    I can’t recommend it enough.

  • We’re on Issue 10 now and nearing the end of the initial 12 editions and what a fantastic journey it’s been so far – I’ve learned so much from the exercises and the articles and am streets away as a punter/trader from where I was 9 Issues ago.

For me, writing about feelings, emotions and thoughts during trading was the most difficult but also one of the most instructional exercises.

I knew I was missing some key mindsets and practices in this trading lark and the newsletters have identified them for me and shown me how to work my way out of them.

If you’re serious about making decent money long-term I wholeheartedly recommend the next series (if there is one).

  • This is without doubt the best information I have ever had about professional gambling. It is so important to have the right mind set and without this guide I am sure it would take years to achieve it if you don’t go skint or mad first. Possibly both.
It is honest and sincere and it teaches you how and when to use your bankroll. That’s not to say it makes it easy but all the tools and a wealth of knowledge are all laid out in front of you. Personally I think its brilliant.

I have never gambled or traded before this last year and I think I have learnt so much that I could not have done without the guidance of Ian’s FTS system. In that time I think I have fallen into all the traps that have been discussed and hopefully can now see a way forward. I started with £1000 and went up to £1300 in no time only to see it fall to about £80. I am now back up to £450 after taking a long hard look at the info in front of me. I do however feel very lucky because it has only cost me £550 so far to learn some valuable lessons about myself and hopefully learn a skill I can use for life. £550 is a mere pittance when you hear about some of the horror stories and situations some people have got themselves in. There but for the grace of god go I.

I’m not out of the woods yet and still have a lot to learn but when I get my money back I will feel as if I have done my apprenticeship and then the real work starts. Good luck to you all and thank you Ian.

  • I have deliberately not made a comment/ testimonial until 10 weeks after the 1st issue, simply because the first few issues were excellent, so I waited to make sure the next few issues were just as good, then I waited again to which brings us here, 10 weeks on.

I have known only four persons/sites that deliver what they say in terms of gambling/ trading and only one is for betfair (the rest are stocks and gold) and consider myself downright lucky I am getting the newsletter. In fact I am very lucky that I am an elite member of FTS. I joined after monitoring FTS blog for more than a year.

I like the straightforwardness of the newsletter, it pulls no punches and does not fluff around the important issues that really need to be forced into the open. It is on the whole very punctual and more importantly I will be getting the next set of newsletters and also resigning up to the elite club next time the opportunity arises.

Am I up? How you doing? you making money? etc etc I hear you say! Well, to be honest that really should not matter at the moment because the most important thing gamblers/ traders need to know is there really is only one thing that matters…is it consistently profitable in the long term.

If you are awaiting my answer it should be blatantly obvious…I am still here after 10 weeks writing this.

My advice, take your time, dont just go jumping on the band wagon because people including myself say its so, watch for yourself, monitor and then you will see all the 80+ comments above (including mine) are absolutely true.

    Alan

  • Its Brian and Chris here (Dad & Lad in it together)

We have certainly learnt a lot from the newsletters. We were novices 6 months ago but we have read and learnt and have done the exercises requested

Chris tends to concerntrate on learning the football trading lessons ( then he teaches me coz lads are quicker than dads he tells me)
My love of horse racing has me taking the lessons in to that sphere

We used to buy all sorts of systems but do not anymore, we have developed and still developing our own little niches

We are paper trading a One a day system based on Massey ( yes we know your view ha ha)
We are also paper trading 6 popular scorelines
We also do the 70 min system keeping records and winning some bets

    We LTD with you

We tried M Smith understood what he did and we now if we get involved pick our own scorecasts and scorelines through our own reasearch.

We have just started to compliling our own odds on different elements of footbal based on the newsletter exercises which threw up the lay Everton score and also we are developing a lay the current score at half time (paper trading)

We now ony follow one racing “ratings” person which we dutch and have small each way doubles

So for us we take all your teachings seriously and we consider that we are starting to grow our bank consistency ( we definatley lose less)

We hope that provides enough evidence from us that we want you to continue
We also would be interested in mentoring and any new angles and procedures we can learn

If you want to see any of our kept records please let us know we would be happy to share.

I have a suggested Strap line for you to use as you see fit

    “Every Penny is a Prisoner”

    Regards

    Brian & Chris

    • Hi Chris, I would be interested in your one a day on massy ratings, i also use he’s ratings. and also your scoreline trading, i have been trading the over 2.5 goal markets.
      Kind Regards
      Paul

  • I’m not one who usually writes testimonials probably because I’ve never actually purchased anything that’s been any good! This however, is the exception. I cannot stress enough how worthwhile the information that has been provided by Ian is and I can’t recommend this service enough.

    Thanks Ian for sharing.

  • I find this very useful, in terms of discipline, and thinking about your approach and methodology. The 3% increase in bank is quite handy too

  • In addition to my last post , i will no go back through each newsletter and take notes and practice the exercises given. I have watched Ians blog for over a year and I think its now time for me to subscribe to FTS. Thankyou Ian

  • I have just signed up to the service but can only see newsletters 2 to 10 in the members area – can anyone tell me how to access Newsletter number 1 (where is it located)?

  • Ian PLEASE carry on with these Newsletters, the information that you provide in them is so valuable.
I look so forward to Friday just to read the Newsletter and keep going back over the previous issues until i crack the discipline that i need.

Many thanks Ian for sharing your knowledge and facts in this challenging but very rewarding subject.

  • Hi Ian
Ive been with FTS from the start through the Elite phase and Mentor phase and I know how much effort you put in.Thanks. If I can recommend the one thing people have to learn it is the thing you call and refer to so often – mindset. You cannot be a good trader no matter how much money or knowledge of systems you posses until you master the mindset and attitude. And that can only come by trading in your own comfort zone You have banged on and on about it right through all the courses and it takes time until it registers. So many times in the past I chopped and changed trades reacting to things that didnt need any reaction. Its amazing how increasing stakes alters your reasoning. Ive been making nice money for months and months and am pretty good at what I do now but unbelievably last week I had quite a large amount on with cover that I wasnt used to or comfortable with. It just show you, I ended up making decisions based on NOT LOSING the amount of red I saw on the screen. I traded out for a very small profit which if i would have traded correctly would have been 100%. Never think you know it all and just pile in – make the transition from small to larger trades very slowly and you won’t change your methods of trading. Thanks for the newsletters – great reading.

  • Ian…

    One word… fantastic.

This is something that has given me the kick up the backside that was needed.  I have looked at things from a whole new perspective.

In the past I have been guilty of chasing losses, using bots, betting on anything without any research, and ultimately showing no discipline whatsoever.  The exercises have made me look at different markets, looked at the way that odds move and looking for a steady increase as opposed to the bet that makes big money but only comes once in a blue moon and is not value for money.

So many thanks for getting me to look at odds, different markets and for making me think and act in a disciplined manner.

Recently I paper traded a system that I had stumbled upon.  I wrote down everything that I did, and when I would do it, which games to trade on, researched historical games, form etc. then put the results into a spreadsheet and it was going great, making good money.

I decided it was time to go live with a small bank and compare with the paper trading.  The emotional change in my thoughts when it was real money even though it was only a small amount, amazed me, but what amazed me even more is how my discipline totally went out of the window…  instead of writing down which games I would trade on, I just traded on anything that I liked the look of, sometimes even tweaking my system with the old “what if I did this”.  Not the time to be doing anything different.  Therefore my full proof system went up, down, and level like a yoyo.

I am now sticking to the same system as I did with my paper trading, writing down in advance which games I had chosen, doing my research and not deviating.  It is called DISCIPLINE and it works.

I am about to make a life changing decision and give up work to become a full time professional trader, and with Ian’s guidance I hope to become successful.

Many thanks and keep up the good work.

  • I wanted to write a very long detailed post, but no one would read it, so Im giving you here one proof, that this is the best purchase I ever made.

Its a picture of my bank changing weekly since end of October. First newsletter came out 19th November 2010. See what happenned…

  • good evening Ian

just read issue 10, dont know how but they just keep getting better, the info is first class, usually takes me 2 or 3 reads to digest it all.
Anybody who is not keeping up needs to get reading!!!…thanks again for this fantastic look in to trading

    John

  • I have followed the advise in all the newsletters which makes very good reading and there is just about the right amout of content in each. Each newsletter builds from the previous so its important that all are read in sequential order to get the most out of it.

The advise is outstanding and I have seen my profits rise considerably and have made in excess of four figures sometimes in just one week. Its still a learning exercise for me but it is great that we can download these and refer to them when in doubt. Its an excellent lesson in dicipline and trust of the systems and also finding out about value and how odds change therefore giving you other potential trading options. Thanks Ian

  • Said it once, say it again “QUALITY”

  • Said it last month say it this month

    Best advice around
    Still learning
    Still winning
    Keep it going Ian

    Regards
    Brian & Chris

  • Exellent course, i’m now trading without emotion or fear of losing

  • Have been learning so much. Has really opened my eyes to things I didn’t know in the broader gambling arena, plus how to start building my own system where I become my own expert instead of wasting money on others systems and services. Thanks Ian!

  • Without Ians support and mentoring through this newsletter, I would have packed in by now.
I have made more “amazing discoveries” that other people have missed, than you could imagine. They never turn out to be so.
It all boils down to this in the end ; Attitude, consistency and discipline.

Some systems do work (FTS is one), others are complete rubbish or cons.

If you apply the above to the right systems, you will make profit gambling. Simple.

A huge thank you to Ian, without whom, I would not have arrived at that point. Your generousity in sharing your knowledge is very appreciated, although hard to understand for someone who runs a business for maximum profit.

  • Enjoying the newsletter very much. One thing I was hoping that was going to be in it – having not read the last one yet – is the setting up of and what to do about such things as National Insurance contributions, the premium charge to Betfair. Income Tax. Do I claim benefits when I’m made redundant next month if I’m intending on becoming a pro trader? What do you put as occupation when filling in a form??
A small section on financial administration would be very interesting.
Keep up the great work at FTS

  • Ian,

Before the last newsletter comes out I want to thank Ian and his contributors for such a brilliant set of documents that have really opened my eyes up to gambling how it should be: Structured, informed, and without emotion.
I think, like a lot of the guys posting on here I have learned a lot from these newsletters and will from now be hoping to stay disciplined so that I can look back in 1 or 2 years time and see what I have achieved and put the majority of it down to the skills learnt both mentally and technically from this newsletter.
I don’t have a success story at the minute but I have been able to put an end to my boredom punting which is a major achievement in itself.
I certainly hope there’s another set of newsletters in the pipeline because I for one have looked forward to each of them coming out.
    CPM

  • Excellent course. After reading each newsletter a couple of times, I just seem to be trading and betting more calmly and sucessfully . Lookiing forward to more.

  • Can some one explain the ‘premium charge’ and why BF charge this when they get commision on each bet, and at what level of profits do they start this rediculous charge !! I think it would be helpful for everyone who is on the first rung of the ladder to be prepared for this, although once I know the figures, I am sure it wont be difficult to avoid reaching the point at which the charge begins !

FTS is the way forward !!

  • First class Ian and thanks for taking the time to document your experiences under difficult circumstances. Out of all the systems and stuff I’ve bought over the years, this series of newsletters has been without doubt the best value. I guess there is nothing revolutionary about the content other than a well reasoned and structured approach to deriving an income from this most difficult of industries. Thanks, much appreciated.

  • Just finised reading issue 12. The whole course has been eye opening and i have gained so
much from it. So glad Ian has decided to continue with course and look forward to issue 13.
Thanks Ian for all your time and effort.

    All the best

    Wayne & Julie

  • Thank you Ian for what has been a fascinating, educational and inspirational series of newsletters. I for one will definitely subscribe to the next twelve.

  • Hi Ian,

An amazing 12 weeks of information, my mindset has changed completely. I have stopped buying the rubbish that I get emailed on a daily basis, I have all my goals in place that are realistic and can hopefully be achieved. I have worked through quite a few of the exercises and will continue to do so until they are all complete. Thank-you for the time you have taken to put this together and I am sure the next 12 issues will be even better.

All the best and can’t wait for No.13.
    Gary

  • Hi there Ian,
Thank you for the 12 weeks. Thoroughly enjoyed the course and moving on to a new mindset.
Thank you also to JG, who amuses(!) as well as he tips.
Would like to shake hands with the both of you in the future.
Lets move on to the next lesson.
    Tim.

  • An absolutely fantastic series of newsletters so much information to take in. The exercises are excellent done the paper exersises now lets start to build my bank and reach my goals
    here’s to more newsletters

    Top man Mr Erskine

  • Hi Ian,

Thanks again for the outstanding input and dedication you’ve put into these newsletters – please also thank the other contributers on my behalf. Espeacially JG as his straightforward advice has helped the penny drop about why i’ve not succeeded in gambling before.

I’ve just finished doing my business plan for the next year and set achievable goals and targets – and as part of that I have factored in purchasing the next set of newsletters. I’m still paper trading bank builders and system 15 – but am using the mental aspects used in the newsletter to go forward and show consistent profits in FTS games – and as a result of learning about odds I can now consistently find good games to trade myself.

    All the best
    Scotty

  • hi Ian very much enjoyed the course so far and look forward to more, just looked at last 3 months and although not a large amount I am in profit so doing something right.

    Thanks
    Tony

  • Dear Ian, Some time ago I needed to retire early to look after my wife who has Parkinsons. Having decided to make money through the gambling / trading route I must have fallen into every trap you have highlighted over the last 12 editions. I have found your instructions and exercises to be most helpful and sensible. I will be honest and I am behind with the course exercises, but I have found each week’s information to give me more nudges in the right direction and having made hard copies of all the lessons so I now have a gambling textbook to go through at my own pace.
I am convinced that the trading approach rather than a straight gamble is the route to success and I would hope that future lessons give more clear guidance on finding the ideal conditions to place a bet and then the timing/change in the odds before placing the opposite bet and thus securing a profit. I know you have started to cover this on the course but more help in this area would be most welcome.
In this day and age, it is reassurring to read your various contributions on the internet and have the confidence to know that you are a 100% geniune guy giving good information and help to guide your readers in the right direction. There are far too many bandits out there just looking for a fast buck.
Good luck, more success but most important good health and keep up the good work.
    Richard Park

  • Work and personal matters have meant that I have not been able to take full advantage of the newsletters on a timely basis. But I am working through them at a slower pace and they are betyond doubt invaluable. I take a long term view and will persevere and with this help I am confident in success. Already I am seeing progress and identifying shortcomings of my own (the worst is my tendance to experiment). Many thanks and look forward to the next series.

  • Hi everyone,

I have just finished reading No 12.

I believe the 12 issues has given me the best value for money in all my many years
    of betting.

The most important point raised time and time again is record keeping and making a plan
at the outset. I smiled at JG’s post because he is right on the button in every area. I joined JG
at beginning of year. It’s my second time around as I had to bow out of betting for a while due to
    health issues.

I mention this is 2nd time around because this time I knew the number of bets JG gives so I
decided from the outset, because I have a small bank not to bet on the very small bets and to
set out a level stakes for the small.good.max bets. After just six weeks my BB has increased by 58%. Can’t wait for the flat.

No matter how much or how little we stake Ian has taught us the absolute need to have a Plan,
record all bets and stake correctly. I am so grateful to Ian, beyond words. I am retired and
disabled and just like Richard above I lost big at the beginning of my betting and fell into all
the traps and then I found Ian.

    A true Gent.

    I wish you all well,

    Brian

  • Thanks Ian the news letters are exceptional and not just for betting I must admit that I have not done everything that I should have but that is because of the problems that I have at home in my personal and business life but I am gettin there slowly I wish I had read this six years ago if I had I would not be in the mess that I am in now I think that if I had applied this information to my business I would be in a much better place and enjoying things much more.
    Thanks Brian

  • Hi there,

I would just like to echo the comments above, Its certainly been the best betting purchase I’ve made on the web. I have learned so much over the past 12 issues and look forward to the next issues. I’m so glad I came across the FTSIncome website. It could maybe just be life changing stuff given time effort and patience.

    Chris

  • After going through all 12 issues I can only say that these have been the most useful and helpful newsletters I’ve ever subscribed to. I had been making steady profits until now, but going through these I’ve now managed to increase these further, simply by adjusting my thinking, mainly avoiding my customary monthly blow out when I’ve previously ‘gone on tilt’! If you want to understand how you work when gambling, as well as how gambling itself works, there really is no better resource out there. Ian mate, keep them coming!

  • Quite simply the best £25 you will spend in your gambling lifetime. Anyone reading this who wants to become a profitable gambler, there are three steps you must take. Firstly subscribe to these newsletters. Secondly read them thoroughly, do all the exercises and do the work involved. Lastly watch your betting bank grow

  • After reading so much crap from all these Gurus out there, I did not expect to much from these “gambling academy” newsletters – but I was in the mood to give it a trial!

Ians first 12 newsletters totaly changed my impression about this guy. First I saw his FTS adds with – “hey my car – payed from betting” – and I thought he offers nothing more then all the other “Get rich quick”-Ebooks that are only designed to get a hold of your money, when a downswing in betting makes you weak for such offers.

No, Ians work is the complete opposite. He challenges you to think everything over. You will learn to look at betting as a business. You will learn the math included, the mindset, the disciplin and a lot of tools you need to be successful or at least to find your way to success. If you are willing to do your homework and to stick to the hard-road you have to go. No it is not easy money, and it is no easy learing here – but everything becomes clear and logic when you work with it.

Still making money with betting will not be easy. And not all his tools work for me. But you will find your little corner where you have a serious chance of making money in the “shark-pool” called betfair!

So far I learned a lot from these 12 issues of the newsletter and will keep reading the next issues as soon as Ian will continue.

Thanks Ian for sharing all these things with me (and all the others). I am glad to be your student here in the gambling academy!

  • I know that “13″ is an unlucky number, but wasn’t it you Ian teaching us that there is no such thing as “luck” in gambling ????
So where is the Newsletter number 13 ??????????
Any news on continuation of the gambling academy?
Fridays are so meaningless now :(

On a serious note, hope you will start the new edition of Newsletters soon. Hope to have more about compiling football odds, as in issue 9 of your newsletter you wrote that you will publish the whole table and go further into the process. You did write about it in issue 12 but the table was not published yet, and I am sure there is a lot more to talk about the subject.

Waiting for the above and a lot more.

    Best
    Michael

  • Welcome back.

    Another riveting read.
    The learning process continues.

    Paul

  • Great to have the newsletter back. Going to be an interesting task over the next few wks. The learning continues.

  • Hi Ian

I must be of the 27% you mentioned in today’s newsletter. I’ve found them a very good guide. I’ve also managed to double my betting bank 3 times over the period of the newsletters and I’m within a couple of weeks of doubling up a fourth time. I have been a little lucky over that period but the more I trade the more I learn. I did start with a rigid time scale of doubling my bank in a certain amount of time but I’ve now learned not to jump in just for the sake of it.
    Cheers

  • Issue 14 and more food for thought. I particularly enjoyed the tale of the newsletter subscriber who turned his gambling around. For me this is a real motivation and shows what can be achieved. More tales of success please! Cheers

    Steve

  • On betting software,(Issue 14). I personally use ‘The Geek’s Toy’ for trading as it shows your profit or loss constantly updated and a greening up function also.

    Anthony.

  • Hi Ian

just read through issue 15… more great stuff to digest,

1 question for you and any other who have an opinion, when doing a TRADING exercise are you better to TRADE on what you know (for me soccer) or try something different i.e Horses ?

wish i could get in to the ELITE group, i’ve still got so much to learn

    KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

    John

  • For me, Newsletter 15 is the best yet and in particular the section about trading or gambling. Since exchanges came in I have aimed to make enough for a summer holiday i.e between £2000 – £3000 and every year I have achieved that. I now have the confidence to book ahead! However, I am not a trader like Ian, maybe because I dont do it for a living. I have found trading to be a virtual homebreaker and not conducive to family life. Sitting there of an evening or weekend afternoon waiting for a goal to go in is not my cup of tea at all, nor my wifes. I did follow Mark/Peter for a month but how they do trading on correct scores is beyond me. I have respect for them, of course, and appreciate they make a good profit and if thats the way they want to do it then fine. But why not spend an hour or maybe two each day either early in the morning or when the kids have gone to bed doing your research then place your bets and enjoy the rest of the day. Also Saturday is a family day so I dont usually bet. Saturday is notoriously difficult anyway as there are so many races and football games that detailed research becomes more difficult. I make my money mainly by betting against sequences – horses that have won 2 on the run dont usually win a third. Similarly football teams that have drawn 2 on the run dont draw again especially in the lower divisions etc etc.. But you have to research them properly as Ian says and see if there are injuries and the grade of the opposition and so on. And also research will throw up the short priced favs to bet against. The advice in the newsletter is brilliant but dont feel you have to be a trader.

  • Hi

Have just read issue 16 and reading JG comments is like hearing a recording of myself.
I have now become very good with the computer and the internet and very good with the technology on most of the modern must haves apart from the iphone which i bought then ending up giving it to my son . However, it has taken me a least a year to become comfortable with the laying side of betting since have always backe to win. This newsletter has been extremely helpfull in getting my head around these methods.

  • Hi Ian,
Just finished reading issue 17……….I have already got many of your suggestions in place
although some need to be looked at again. Your comments on the Betting Bank i feel are so important and everyone reading the News Letter should take that on board.
I was amazed when you recently told me that only a very small percentage of people have continued to read and download these News Letters. WHY?
This is by far the best imformation you can recieve anywhere.
For other readers of this……..I have met Ian several times and know what a great genuine
guy he is and we are so lucky to be given all this imformation for the price he charged. Infact how can you price it…. if you are able to go on and make a full-time income for life.

    Best Regards

    Wayne

  • These are definately the first thing anyone should invest in, even if you haven`t the dream of being a full time professional, they will stop you losing money, I was one of the industries losers but these newsletters have totally changed my attitudes and although not making a fortune , I am now slowly building up and who knows where it could lead. If anyone can say they haven`t gained something from every newsletter I would challenge them, well done Ian, thx and please keep em coming.

  • Hi Ian,
Just a quick update – I’ve been turning a steady profit laying horses since April- all my own picks – but what has really made the difference for me is appreciating what represents VALUE and which lays are not – where the newsletter has benefitted me most is the MENTAL ASPECTS of gambling and being DISCIPLINED. I’ve adopted the 3% theory and am happy if I finish a day 4 or 5 % up or even finish on a loss if there are no suitable opportunities as I’m not going to do my nut trying to turn a profit if the odds are not there. As the liquidity is there with this approach I don’t see any reason why I can’t continue to DOUBLE MY BANK ONCE A MONTH until I get to a level where I’ll be happy to take regular daily profits eg. 3% of £15000 is £450.
Thanks again for helping me change my punting ways.
Winners are grinners and I grin alot these days.
    Thanks a million
    Scott

  • Best £50 I have ever spent. I stumbled across Ian’s FTS site about 12 months ago. In that time I’ve won a lot and lost a lot. Ever since going through the first 12 newsletters it has made me a better gambler with the right mindset. My bank keeps growing and growing. Thanks Ian and keep up the good work.
    Chris

  • Hi Ian,

Dying to read the newsletters! :) I’ve paid on the 13th Nov but sadly can not download anything after I login. My Transaction ID: 87K04829R4727610M, email: j.f.dabrowski(at)hotmail.co.uk

    Thank you for your help,

    Be well,
    Jack

  • I have put a testimonial on here before as one of the first to sign up to the newsletter and thought I would follow up.

My gambling/trading has always been important to me, winning was more important than anything else, losing used to make me angry an frustrate me, not any more. What the newsletters have done for me is help change my whole psychology towards gambling/trading, it was a long time coming but after following the newsletters and re-reading over and over slowly but surely it has all been come together.

I no longer want the big wins, I no longer chase for the that 100% trade, I have my rules, my targets, my goals and finally, my discipline, all of which I can honestly say started from just doing what the newsletters and what Ian has posted during his email *rants* :) ! I can accept my losing streaks and I can accept my winning streaks as equal as each other, I used to think I could accept my losing streaks but over time, the newsletters pin pointed my weaknesses and the exercises within really do help.

I cannot stress to you how much of a difference following what the newsletters say has changed my discipline and therefore my betting bank. I have the newsletters printed off and read them as part of my routine. If you want to make money in this business, treat it as a business and educate yourself and as with any business you will have to work hard to get there, but once the momentum is there, before you know you are making it work.

    Good luck all
